Evan Levy
CBIP
Many companies have invested in their business intelligence systems and have been able to show the value of integrated, cross-functional data through improved business performance and execution. Having access to this data has delivered significant return on investment, operational efficiencies, and even competitive differentiation. However, data warehousing is only the tip of the ice berg when it comes to addressing enterprise data integration.
The holy grail, to many, is providing operational data integration—and enabling data correction at the source. Unfortunately, many companies have forgotten that they’ve been investing in data integration for years—with their data warehouses.
In this session, consultant and author Evan Levy describes how the existing methods and practices in place with the data warehouse can be expanded to support (and strengthen) MDM. Evan will describe where the MDM and BI combination makes sense and where the combination presents risk. When done right, not only can the data warehouse strengthen an MDM effort, but MDM can breathe new life into your data warehouse.
