At the Veteran's Health Administration, good, clean, accurate data is a business priority. In this session Beth Franchi describes how she and her team support the care of 5.5 million patients across 153 medical centers and 737 community-based outpatient clinics. The VHA's Master Patient Index has become a cornerstone of its ability to not only improve patient searching and matching but also to provide a better care experience for our nation's veterans. Beth will discuss the journey from determining the need for master patient data all the way through deploying master data in a service-oriented environment, and how that data is and will be supported and governed for the long-term.
