Art Conroy
Several years ago, Art Conroy, a long-time information architect in the data warehousing field, was asked by SRI in Menlo Park to develop a way to embed intelligence into the data model so business analysts could focus on understanding relationships rather than developing BI cubes and performing what-if analyses. He took the challenge and developed a framework for building semantically aware data models. He has since worked exclusively on government projects related to information sharing, counter-terrorism, fraud, waste, and abuse. This presentation covers the concepts, relationships, and vocabulary required to speak the language of semantic intelligence, and provides a framework for designing the next-generation data warehouse using concepts emerging from the fields of cognitive science, computational thinking, and parallelized data stores.
