From columnar databases to in-memory analytics, from "noSQL" to cloud-based and hardware appliance models, the number of choices has, for many, become bewildering. In this presentation, Merv Adrian looks at the suddenly renewed landscape and describes the choices, the emerging leaders, and some guides to selection.
