Data management (DM) and enterprise information management (EIM) can be instrumental in optimizing the value of an organization’s information. However, many companies struggle to understand how to effectively organize and implement this capability. Frequent stumbling blocks to effective implementation include confusion about the scope of organizational responsibility, understanding the interaction between the business and MIS/IT, and how to organize the team.
